Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is located in the southwestern part of Uganda sharing borders with the districts of Kisoro and Kabale. Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your first day of the 2 Days Uganda gorilla trekking. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by a tour guide from Visit and Tour Rwanda who will brief you on the typical highlights of the whole 2 Days Uganda gorilla trekking experience before a 4 hours journey transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. The journey is very scenic and will take you through a country of a thousand hills to the Pearl of Africa. You cross over to Uganda at Katuna or Chanika boarder for a stop at Kabale town (Katuna) or Kisoro (Chanika) before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park

Enjoy an early morning breakfast to get you started for the exceptional day of 2 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking. The driver/guide will get you to the park headquarters as early as 8:00 am to attend to the trekkers’ gorilla briefing from the UWA staff. We advise you to ensure that you pack a rain jacket, purified drinking water, energy giving snacks, hiking boots, etc in order to have a good trekking experience. The trained guides from UWA will lead you through to the jungle to begin the trek for gorillas until you finally meet them. The trek may last from 1- 6 hours, so if possible, carry a packed lunchbox along with other items essential for the trek. Don’t Worry, with just 10USD, you can hire porters to help you carry these items and leave you with the only anticipation of gorilla trekking.

On meeting the gorillas, you will have the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth with these mountain giants. Enjoy seeing them play, guard their younger ones, feed and climb on trees and just use this moment to ask any questions about the gorilla group you have visited, and the guides will get you answered. After the trek, the guides will still lead you through the jungle to arrive at the park headquarters for your trekking certificates and then later, you will check out at the hotel, then return to Kigali in Rwanda via Katuna border with drop-offs at your preferred hotel or at the airport for your late departure flight.
