In addition to game viewing activities in and around Queen Elizabeth National Park, it is not uncommon for guests of Mweya Safari Lodge to spot a variety of game including hippos enjoying a graze on the landscaped grounds.

The park is also home to at least 604 different species of birds, the largest variety of any other protected area on the continent, making it one of the best places for bird watching in all of Africa. Other popular activities include a launch trip on the channel in one of the lodge’s luxury boats, an exclusive chimpanzee trekking excursion in the breath-taking Kyambura Gorge.
