Akagera Game Lodge lies in the north east of Rwanda with in the 90000 ha Akagera National Park. It sits on a ridge that overlooks Lake Ihema amidst a mosaic of grass, bush and varied terrain of hills, deep valleys. Lakes and Marches. Its also seen as a superior venue that offers a great relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a successful conference, a tranquil gateway or an undisturbed encounter with nature.
The Accommodation facilities.
The lodge offers leading accommodation in single, double, Twin, family, executive suite and the luxury cottages, each with its own patio that overlooks lake Ihema, allowing one to see a magnificent sun rise or sun set in true African style. The rooms are decorated with a charming African flair, each room also contains two beds writing desk, chair and the satellite TV. All the rooms have been interior designed along pan African themes.
The lodge has got many restaurants that help out the tourists with feeding and these include;
The shoebill restaurant which has a charming atmosphere that serves a beautiful cuisine in the form of la carte menu or buffet meals of BB, Lunch and Dinner.
The Elephant bar, adjacent to the shoebill restaurant offers the guests with a retreat from the heat by day. The bar is a quiet place by night with great views of the African starlit sky. The terrace also offers a light a lacarte menu between meals or along cool drink during the day. The bar offers soft music, drinks like the spirits, wines, and whiskies. etc
The main facilities at the lodge include; the swimming pool, conference room which enables you in organizing your meeting and the tennis court. The pool gives each guest a chance to cool down in a comfortable environment. This allows you a look and feel of the tropical climates in the middle of the park. The facility is free service for all the in house guests. There is a pool side service, towel service that is offered as well.
