The safari starts and ends in Tanzania. The safari tour takes you to the most powerful national parks in Tanzania, these include Arusha city, Lake Manayara National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro crater as well as Tarangire National Park.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Your safari represenative meets you at Kilimanjaro Internatioal Airport upon arrival on an evening flight. Transfer to your city hotel for check in. Dinner on own account. Overnight stay at Arusha Serena Hotel / Kahawa House Arusha / similar. Bed and Breakfast basis.

Day 2: Arusha City / Lake Manyara National Park- About 2.5 hrs driving time

Breakfast will be served at your hotel. Check out of lodge by 0730 hrs, board your 4×4 wheel drive safari jeep and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. On the way, you may visit an authentic Masai Village where you will be entertained by the Masai tribesmen and also learn more about their cherished culture as you are shown around their traditional homestead (Payable as extra). Check in at your lodge and lunch is served from 1300 hrs. This afternoon, you also enjoy game viewing drives at the Lake Manyara National Park. This park which is located along the Rift Valley escarpment boasts an array of attractions, notably the scenic views, Elephants and the rate Tree Climbing Lions that perch themselves on top of trees to relax or survey prey from there. Evening will be at leisure. Overnight stay at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge / Farm House Valley Lodge- Karatu / similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 3: Lake Manyara / Serengeti National Park- About 5.5 hrs drive

Breakfast will be served at the lodge. Check out by 0730 hrs, board your safari jeep by 0730 hrs and depart for Serengeti National Park. The scenic drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation area, the famous OlDuvai gorge museum and southern Serengeti, leading you to your centrally located lodge in central Serengeti. You will enjoy a sumptuous lunch, followed by afternoon game viewing activities from 1600 hrs. Overnight stay at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge / Kati Kati Serengeti Tented Camp / similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 4 and Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Two full days will be spent in the seemingly endless Serengeti plains where you will be enjoying your game viewing drives with exclusive use of safari jeep. You may decide to enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives, or to depart your lodge with packed lunch, with the better part of the day spent searching for Lions, Cheetah, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Rhino, Leopard and other animals that the Serengeti is famous for.

Our game drives will cover the varied habitats and eco-systems of Serengeti. Overnight stay at your lodge or camp / similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – About 4 hrs drive

Breakfast will be served at your lodge. Check out by 0730 hrs and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. With picnic lunch, you will drive down the steep walls of the caldera and enjoy captivating game drives around the crater floor. The crater enjoys one of the highest concentration of Lions in Africa. It is also home to some of the biggest Elephant Bulls on the continent and one of the best places to see a Black Rhino.

Besides an amazing wildlife viewing experience, the conservation area offers scenic views and history of human evolution.  In the afternoon, you will ascend to your lodge for check in. The evening will be spent at leisure as you enjoy stunning views of the crater from the comfort of your lodge (If staying at Serena Lodge). Overnight stay at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge / Ngorongoro Farm House / similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 7: Ngorongoro / Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Tarangire National Park. Check in followed by lunch. This afternoon, you will enjoy game drives. This less visited reserve is characterized Bamboo vegetation that offers breath taking scenery and big herds of Elephants. Big cats and several other sightings are common here. Overnight stay at Tarangire Kuro Tree Tops / Maramboi Tented Lodge / similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 8: Tarangire / Arusha / Kilimanjaro / Depart (2 Hrs drive to Arusha extra 1 hour to Kilimanjaro)

Breakfast will be served at your lodge. Check out and drive back to Arusha city. Time permitting, enjoy lunch at a hotel and pay directly. Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport on time for your evening flight, having explored most of the northern Tanzania safari circuit.

END OF SAFARI

Inclusions: Private arrival transfer in Kilimanjaro, 1 nights’ accommodation in Arusha on bed and breakfast basis, Accommodation while on safari on full board basis for 6 nights, park entrance and concession fees to Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire as per itinerary, transport and game drives using a 4x4WD safari converted land cruiser on exclusive basis, services of an English speaking safari driver / guide, mineral water in the safari vehicle, departure transfer, applicable government taxes on tour services, concession fees etc.

Not included in the package: All International and domestic flights, change of plan or deviation from itinerary, all items of personal nature, drinks, beverages, laundry and all other costs incurred at the hotels, meals that are not listed above, cost of visa to Tanzania, inoculations, tipping for hotel and safari staff (highly recommended especially for your safari guides and driver, medical / travel insurance (recommended) and all other items not listed in the inclusions list above.
