Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Amboseli National Park

You get to embark on a 3-hour drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, arrive in time for Lunch. After a leisurely early afternoon, we proceed for a game drive, viewing against the back drop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro which is the highest free standing mountain on our planet and Africa’s highest peak. You will keep your eyes open and the cameras ready for the shots of the large herds of elephants and the plain game giraffes, gazelles, lions as well as leopards. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge/Amboseli Sopa Lodge/Camping.

Day 2: Explore Amboseli National Park

Enjoy a full day game drive in the park known the world over as one of the best places to get up close to free ranging elephants, expect to see these great animals, as well as cape buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, cheetah, wildebeest as well as the impalas among others. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge/Amboseli Sopa Lodge/Camping.

Day 3: Travel to Tsavo West National Park

Have breakfast and then continue through the dry shrub land, and we will cross the great lava flow of Mt Kilimanjaro and the Chyulu Hills to Tsavo West National Park. We will arrive in time for lunch and after proceed for an afternoon game viewing drive and visit to the Rhino sanctuary which is a safe haven for the area’s black Rhino.

The sanctuary is only open from 4pm to 6pm each day, offers a rare glimpse into the protected habitat of these animals that have threatened by extinction since the 1980s due to over hunting. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge/Ngulua safari Lodge/ Camping.

Day 4: Tsavo West – Game Drives

Have a full day game drive in Tsavo west, Kenya’s largest park famous for its large herds of elephants, Masai Giraffes, lesser Kudus, zebras, lions, dikDiks, and the cheetahs. Tsavo west is also known for its one of a kind volcanic features, including Five sisters, which is the five cone shaped hills located in one area and resembling one another. The shetani and Chaumu lava flows are also the major highlights and we will pass through the rocky hill that produces whistling sound when there are strong winds.

We will also visit the Mzima spring which is a phenomenal fresh water body that gushes so suddenly from the underground rocks in the midst of the dry patchy woodlands.  Just from the safety of the underwater observation tank and have an opportunity to view the submerged hippos, crocodiles as well as the fish on the floor of the springs.

Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge/Ngulua safari Lodge/ Camping.

Day 5: Depart Back to Nairobi Airport

Have breakfast at the Lodge and then start your journey back to the Airport to catch your depart flight.
