This 4 Days Uganda Gorilla trekking and Wildlife Safari is a special Uganda gorilla safari designed to fit in your trip budget plan starting in Kampala Uganda and still ending in Uganda. On this itinerary tour, expect to explore the beauty in Uganda’s major national parks such as Queen Elizabeth National Park for wildlife experience and the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking experience. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is a habitat to over 12 Gorilla families, 348 bird species, 163 tree species, 120 mammals, 220 butterfly species, 27 chameleon species, and 1000 flowering plants among others. Don’t miss the mighty game drive experience in Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park where you can see the big hippos, elephants, tree climbing lions, among others.
4 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your first day of the 2 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by a tour guide from Visit and Tour Rwanda who will brief you on the typical highlights of the whole 2 Days Uganda gorilla trekking experience before a 4 hours journey transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. The journey is very scenic and will take you through a country of a thousand hills to the Pearl of Africa. You cross over to Uganda at Katuna or Chanika boarder for a stop at Kabale town (Katuna) or Kisoro (Chanika) before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park
On the second of your gorilla trekking and wildlife safari in Uganda, you will wake up early in the morning (by 5-6 am depending on the location of the lodge), then get transferred to the Park headquarters (with you essential gorilla trekking pack list), where you will be briefed by the UWA guide about the gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi forest. After the gorilla trekking briefing, you will then proceed to the forest jungles in search for the allocated gorilla family a process which takes between 1-6 hours of search.
After the trek, the park ranger will guide you back to the park for collection of your certificates after which your driver will get you back to your lodge for lunch in the afternoon as you make up your itinerary plans to go for a walk through the Batwa community/homesteads, see how they live and enjoy their cultural performances through dance and drama before retiring to have dinner and overnight getting ready for next day wildlife experience in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park Via the Ishasha Sector
We now count our 3rd day of the 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking. Wake up to a tasty morning breakfast, then get ready for a 2-3 hours journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park getting through the Ishasha sector where we see the unique tree-climbing lions along with sights of different animal species including; the birds, bushbucks, elephants, gazelles, buffaloes, monkeys, and the Uganda Kobs that feature on the Uganda Coat of Arms.
Upon your arrival at the park entrance, we shall proceed to check in at the lodge, have a delicious lunch, as you prepare to engage in a launch/boat cruise on Kazinga channel in the afternoon. This boat trip takes 2 hours and will give you an opportunity to watch different water animals closer, some of the animal species include; hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes along the banks. Also birds like the Saddle-billed stork, African fish eagle, pink-backed pelicans, Pied and malachite kingfisher, African Skimmer and the shoebill that’s if you are lucky.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Early Morning Game Drive, Transfer to Kampala
This marks the final day of the 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari with us. You will enjoy your early breakfast, and embark on a morning game drive you may opt for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi trail where you will have chance to see animals such as the lions, warthogs, elephants, topis, buffaloes among others, also during this morning you will observe a number of different bird species or choose to visit the Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking.
Thereafter, start off your journey to Kampala, you will stopover in Mbarara for Lunch. After lunch, proceed to Kampala whereby you will reach in the afternoon. Thanks for interesting a trip with Visit and Tour Rwanda!
