Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
On arrival in Kigali, you will meet your tour guide and be transferred to Nyungwe forest where you will spend the night at Nyungwe Forest lodge just on the suburbs of the evergreen Nyungwe forest and tea plantations. This evening, you will all meet up with your tour guide for a welcome dinner. Overnight at Nyungwe forest lodge/Gisakura guest house.
Day 2: Primate Trekking: Nyungwe Forest
Early Morning Transfer into the forest for chimpanzee trekking, the activity starts off with a briefing about the dos and don ts of chimpanzee trekking. return for lunch and take an afternoon hike to track Black and white Colobus Monkeys. Dinner and overnight stay in Nyungwe Forest Lodge / Gisakura guest house.
Day 3: Day Hike: Cultural walk
We go to the Gusakula Tea Estates and Lake Kivu after breakfast, stopping en route to experience traditional local dancing and culture, accompanied by lunch.
Return to the lodge for lunch, dinner, and overnight.
Day 4: Kigali City tour / Departure
This is the day to say farewell to your fellow travelers, tour guide and to a country that has been your home for a short while. Following breakfast, you will transfer back to Kigali with a stopover to different Genocide Memorial sites like Murambi, have a city tour in Kigali, visit the curio markets, do shopping, and then have lunch. You will transfer to the airport and catch your flight back home.
