This 1 Day Rwanda Gorilla Trek itinerary lets you explore Rwanda’s volcanoes national park, dubbed to be a collection of the highest population of mountain gorillas in the Virunga conservation area. Located in the northern section of the land of Thousand Hills, the Volcanoes Park headquarters in Ruhengeri is just a 2-3 hours drive from Kigali and there a 1 Day Rwanda gorilla trek is perfectly fit for travelers who have a fixed time yet still want to trek the gorillas.

The itinerary for your 1 Day Rwanda gorilla trek will start very early in the morning (04:30 am) to get on a scenic journey drive with our driver guide arriving at the headquarters of the park at about 7:30 am to attend the pre-requisite briefing by the park rangers about the whole experience of gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will be allocated a specific gorilla group to trek and embark on a hike into the forest with groups of 8 trekkers for each specific gorilla family allocated.

On meeting the gorillas, after 1-6 hours of search, you will enjoy them play, feed, guard each other, as well as taking photographs and you will spend a maximum of an hour with them before descending back to the starting point. After arriving at the park headquarters, you will be awarded the trekking certificate and later get on to the hotel for a delicious lunch meal before driving back to Kigali city to end your 1 Day Rwanda gorilla trek
